The
PATA CEO Challenge is a new, annual event which focuses on
high level strategic business issues impacting the global travel and tourism
industry over the upcoming twelve months.
Decision-makers from both the public and private sectors of the travel industry
were challenged at the April 2008 event during interactive discussions to agree and commit to action
in a unified industry-wide response to climate change. PATA (Pacific Asia
Travel Association), BHN and CAPA
(Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) are co-hosts of the event.
