Hotel Investment Conference Europe (Hot.E) is pleased
to announce that the 2019 Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Anders Nissen.
The Hot.E Hall of Fame Award was established to recognise an investor,
developer, or hotel leader whose career has had a profound and positive impact
on the European hotel industry. The honouree is someone recognised for his or
her business success, intellectual leadership, and personal dedication to
maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
Anders Nissen is the
CEO of Pandox AB, one of Europe’s largest and leading hotel property companies.
Anders was one of the founders when Pandox was formed in 1995 and he has been
the company’s CEO since then. Under Anders’ management, Pandox has grown from a
small local company with property portfolio value of MSEK 600 to a large
international company with a portfolio value of MSEK 55,000. During this time,
Pandox has expanded its geographical platform from one to 15 countries.
Currently Pandox has 144 hotel properties in 82 cities. Anders Nissen has been
active in the hotel industry for more than 35 years. Before joining Pandox,
Anders was Managing Director for Securum Hotel & Turism AB where he led the
restructuring of Securum’s hotel property portfolio. He also had a number of
executive positions within the RESO organisation. Mr. Nissen has also more than
20 years of experience from the international capital market as the CEO of
Pandox, which is currently listed on Nasdaq Stockholm for a second time. He has
also held various board assignments over the years. Anders has a lifelong
interest in handball and he is chairman of the Swedish organisation responsible
for arranging international games and international championships in Sweden.
“We are honoured to be presenting the Hot.E Lifetime Achievement Award
to Anders Nissen," said Andrew Sangster, co-chairman of Hot.E and founder
of industry news site Hotel Analyst. “Anders is that rare breed of industry
executive who is prepared to tackle received wisdom and stand-up for what he
believes is the right way of doing things. I can think of no other industry
leader who has had a bigger impact on owner and brand relations in Europe than
him,” Sangster added.
Hot.E will be held in London on 23-24 September 2019, at the Hilton
London Bankside. For more information about the conference, including registration
