The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Health and Safety Guidance

Effective January 12, 2022

To help combat the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate the spike of the Omicron variant, ALIS has implemented the following Safety and Health protocols and processes for the 21st Annual ALIS event, scheduled for January 24-26, 2022, at the JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles L.A. LIVE:
Wear a Facial Covering
Masks will be required to be worn indoors by all ALIS attendees for all ALIS functions, except when actively eating or drinking, per state of California mandates and Los Angeles County mandates. The only other exception to wearing a mask is when speaking during a session as part of the official conference program. We will have additional masks available at the registration desk in the JW Marriott lobby should you need one. You will be politely reminded to wear a mask throughout the conference.
Requirements to Enter the Hotel Venue & Conference
Upon initial arrival to the host hotel, all delegates will be required to provide proof of vaccination OR a pre-entry negative COVID-19 test result. Testing must be conducted within one day of arrival for an antigen test and within two days of arrival for a PCR test prior to entry into the venue. This process will also apply to all visitors arriving for any conference-related meeting or gathering in the hotel space, including guestroom tower meeting rooms, during conference hours.
Expediting the Entry Process
We have partnered with CLEAR Health Pass to provide efficient entry into the venue. This service is free but does require you to download the CLEAR mobile app and upload your photo, proof of vaccination card and other information to the app. More details regarding the app process will be posted here soon.

While we encourage all delegates to utilize the CLEAR Health Pass to expedite entry, an entrance for manual checking of proof of vaccination and negative COVID-19 test results will also be available. Be sure to bring you’re your proof of vaccination card, your negative test result, and photo ID with you to gain entry.
Optional COVID-19 Testing On-site
To help facilitate a safe conference environment, ALIS has engaged Inspire Diagnostics to provide delegates optional COVID-19 testing on-site at the JW Marriott Los Angeles. Both rapid antigen and PCR tests will be available.

The COVID-19 testing will take place on the patio of the Mixing Room, which is located outside of the back doors of the JW Marriott.

Users will be required to complete an online form in advance or on-site prior to taking the test. Inspire Diagnostics will process the cost of the test through your insurance company. If insurance does not cover cost of the tests, the rapid antigen test price is $25 and the PCR test costs $95. All major credit cards are accepted.

Testing will be available during these hours:
• Sunday, January 23 - 1:00pm – 4:00pm
• Monday, January 24 - 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Tuesday, January 25 - 7:30am – 1:00pm
• Wednesday, January 26 - 7:00am – 10:00am

Stay on Top of Your Status
We strongly recommend that all delegates conduct an antigen self-test within 24 hours of entering the conference venue and each day throughout the event. These tests are easy to use, require only a shallow nasal swab, take 15-20 minutes to process, and can be conducted from the privacy, comfort, and convenience of your lodging accommodations. Please include antigen self-tests on your packing list prior to departing for the conference.
Stay Put if You’re Feeling Sick
If you experience COVID-19 symptoms at any point during the conference, please stay in your guestroom or home and visit a local area professional COVID-19 testing facility of your choice. A list of some local testing facilities can be found below.

If you are feeling sick and staying at one of the host hotels, immediately notify the hotel from your in-room phone and do not come to the conference area. The hotel will notify the ALIS staff immediately for you. If you are a transient attendee, we will have a special designated room onsite should you feel unwell and need to make departure arrangements.
Wash Your Hands
Yes, we have all been hearing this one since our childhood, but please, wash your hands and make use of the available hand sanitizer regularly.
Keep Your Distance
We encourage social distancing whenever possible. Different delegates have different comfort zones. Please keep this in mind as your meeting and mingling throughout the conference.
