CHRIS Deal of the Year Awards



CHRIS Development of the Year 2023
The CHRIS Development of the Year Award recognizes a newly built, redeveloped, or repositioned (after significant product renovations and/or enhancements) hotel that opened, reopened, or completed their repositioning in the Caribbean region between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. Development nominations are reviewed according to specific ranking criteria by the CHRIS Development of the Year Award Committee to determine the three finalists. The finalists’ information is then reviewed and voted on by delegates of CHRIS to determine the winner, whom will be announced at CHRIS. Nominations are due by Friday, March 1, 2024.

CHRIS Transaction of the Year 2023
The CHRIS Transaction of the Year Award recognizes hotel(s) and/or resort(s) in which more than a 50 percent ownership stake has been acquired (transaction closed) in the Caribbean region between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. Transaction nominations are reviewed according to specific ranking criteria by the CHRIS Transaction of the Year Award Committee to determine the three finalists. The finalists’ information is then reviewed and voted on by delegates of CHRIS to determine the winner, whom will be announced at CHRIS. Nominations are due by Friday, March 1, 2024.

Rising Star Award

This award, created by ISHC in conjunction with CHRIS, recognizes an emerging leader, age 35 and under, currently living and working in the Caribbean.
