Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee and former Chief Executive Officer of Dusit International, will be awarded the HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Donavanik will be presented with the award at the
HICAP being held 23-25 October 2023 at the Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford.
The HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award honors exceptional individuals who have distinguished themselves through their accomplishments and contributions to expanding, enhancing, and advancing the hotel industry in the Asia Pacific region and the world.
Serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Dusit International since January 2016, Mr Chanin Donavanik, former Chief Executive Officer, continues to uphold the values and vision introduced more than 70
years ago by his mother, Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, who founded the company in 1948.

& Service Business Committee. Currently, he serves as a Director for the European Committee of the Board of Trade of Thailand. In the public sector, Mr. Donavanik served as a member of the National Legislative Assembly in 2006.
Over the past few years, Mr. Donavanik has had the privilege of serving as an Advisory Board member of the Baptism Development Project in Jordan, initiated by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan to develop the Baptism Site of Jesus as a global destination
for spiritual tourism.
Mr. Donavanik holds an MBA from Boston University, and he was recently presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Arts in Hotel Management from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
In recognition of his significant contribution to the development of hospitality education in Southeast Asia, in 2016 Mr. Donavanik received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Asia Pacific Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (APacCHRIE).
