HICAP Sustainable Hotel Awards

The annual HICAP Sustainable Hotel Awards are designed to recognize hotels in the Asia Pacific region creating innovative new methods, strategies and technologies to face today’s sustainable development challenge, while providing tangible examples of sustainable best practices that can be replicated and adapted across the region. HICAP Sustainable Hotel Award categories include:

HICAP Deal Of the Year Awards

The HICAP Deal Of the Year Awards highlight the most dynamic deals and developments and honor the ongoing achievements of our industry’s leaders. The nomination period is open. All entries were are by midnight (SGT) on 31 AUGUST 2022.

We welcome nominations from the entire industry. A select committee of industry peers then vote to create a shortlist of three deals, from which the final winner is determined by delegate votes immediately prior to HICAP.

REGGIE SHIU DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR
The HICAP Reggie Shiu Development of the Year Award recognizes a newly built, redeveloped, or repositioned (after significant product renovations and/or enhancements) hotel opened, reopened, or completed their repositioning in Asia Pacific between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022. This award recognizes the single development of the year representing the accomplishments of material market impact in a variety of terms including overcoming challenges to completion, scale, innovation, quality, performance, and return on investment.


SINGLE ASSET TRANSACTION OF THE YEAR
The HICAP Single Asset Transaction of the Year Award recognizes the most complex or innovative transaction in which more than a 50 percent ownership stake has been acquired (transaction closed) in respect of a hotel or resort in Asia Pacific between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022.

MERGER & ACQUISITION OF THE YEAR
The HICAP Merger & Acquisition of the Year Award recognizes an acquisition of a controlling stake in a portfolio of hotels, company, or brand ownership entity in Asia Pacific or undertaken by an Asian-based company between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022.

Rising Star Award Asia Pacific

Highlighting our next generation. The Rising Star Asia Pacific Award presented at HICAP, aims to help nurture the aspirations of our industry’s next generation by introducing young rising stars in our community with the Rising Star Award Asia Pacific, held in conjunction with the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC).
